Its plenty fast... basically what most was running 10 years ago for speed. However if you want the extra edge in intense gaming don't install to that drive. Basically the primary SSD drive has the OS "operating system" on it... you will want to "install" all your programs to that too.... then use the 2 tB Hdd as storage for movies, pictures, backups, whatever..... I Have an old DV8T HP I"ve been using over 7 years and my primary SSD "solid state" is 256gb and I still have 150gb free after 7 years of installing!!! If you use any cad or movie programs, you can simply set them in settings to store the mass amounts of product on the HDD drive. I personally went into file manager and turned off indexing which makes searching for files even slower if accessing the HDD secondary drive, however it now pretty much doesn't spin unless I access it on purpose since there are no programs actually installed on it... why do that?.. it will last forever!
