It's a subwoofer, and the full system manual is on the computer in the ASUS folder in the Start menu.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That's your subwoofer! The Q524UQ sounds good without it, but with it, it sounds great! Plug the cord into the yellow port on the left side toward the back. If you've reinstalled Windows, it won't work as it isn't a standard port/part. You'll want to head over to Asus's site, search for the laptop model, and under drivers get the Ice one... Ice audio or something like that. You'll have to scroll down a ways to find it. Download that, open it in 7-zip (free and open source archiving tool), unpack the EXE, install it, and reboot. It won't make you reboot, but the subwoofer won't work until you reboot. Then it will work like a charm!
