The 1080p resolution model has a 120hz screen, the 1440p model is only 60hz. If you're getting this for gaming then get the 120hz 1080p model. The higher refresh rate is much better for gaming and the screen is small enough that having a 1440 screen isn't really all that helpful anyway.
