It is pretty discrete. It plugs into the OBD port which, depending on your car is not very noticeable. Most of us never see the OBD port until we look for it.

As far as not noticing the device, it depends on how in sight your OBD port is. If it’s out of sight when you get in the car and drive the car, then you’ll never notice it’s there. It’s only about an extra 2 inches or so sticking off of the OBD port. In my opinion, it could hide in plain sight easily even if it isn’t up under the dash.

It is pretty small, so unless someone was looking it probably wouldn't be noticed. In my car it is a bit visible because it is a light gray color and the car interior and under dash areas are mostly black. Again, you would have to be looking for it to notice it.
