• It really depends on the length of the carpet. This device is geared toward flooring and area rugs, but it does perform pretty well on low carpet. I wouldn't use in on anything that has any length beyond short.

• Excellent unless it is a real thick throw rug then you can only pull it One Direction backwards you can’t push it forward

• Good question - this machine is designed primarily for hard floors and rugs. For carpet we would recommend an upright carpet cleaner like our ProHeat 2X Revolution!
