A:AnswerThey recommend the lithium AA batteries as they last longer. We use ours a lot as we watch our rescue wild bunnies. We had to change that one after 3 months. The front one is used less and we haven’t had to change that one yet. So pretty good I’d say.
A:AnswerIt’s good. But I can’t forward recordings to my local police departments email. My car was vandalized 5 days ago, and I couldn’t forward the footage. What a waste of money!
A:AnswerI believe it should auto connect once the wifi is back up. If you want to reboot the hub, i would think you could plug that into another wifi iot outlet that you control other ways to shut power and then apply power to hub outlet.
A:AnswerIt operates on two AA size lithium batteries. I have tested some on alkaline and it works but not recommended. 2 years is the advertised life of the batteries but the more it is used the shorter that can become. Using features built in to ignore movement of trees and things not of interest can help preserve battery. There is a portfolio powering using a USB charge - of course you then have to run wires to it and seal it for the weather (good options are available for both) . I got mine in a pinch because I was going out of town. They ran fine with alerts to my phone and full remote control. Long term I plan to build my own cameras using raspberry pi boards but if you are not a maker and don’t mind that blink is owned by Amazon and trust them with your video, then this is the best solution I have found for packaged cameras with easy install and rich features at a fair price.
A:AnswerThe Blink XT2 cameras have an operating temperature range of -4° to 113° F (-20° to 45° C). The Blink XT2 camera is IP-65 rated to ensure that the water-resistant unit delivers clear, HD quality video no matter the forecast!
A:AnswerStrictly in the cloud. It doesn't give options at all to download or upload the saved footage. It is pretty simple. U also cannot access on a computer, Strictly mobile

A:AnswerThe camera does not really work that great when the system is offline. This happened to me yesterday and it showed 1 second clips and half the video was black. I just had to reset my router and it went back to normal. Hope that helped.
A:AnswerI use mine on 5.0 and it works great. Should work on either though as long as it's getting continuous wi-fi. 5.0 might be faster (better picture quality).
