I would like to know how far will it detect motion. We want to mount it at the top or our garage looking down our driveway to see backdoor and back of the house. it's about 40-45 ft null

It will definitely detect motion at that distance. You may have to adjust the sensitivity, but I was receiving alerts for cars passing by my house at an approximate distance of 75 plus feet.
