“I have the Bose Soundbar 900 with the 700 Bass unit. I have it attached to a Sony Bravia A80J. Occasionally when I turn on the TV the sound will not come on and I will have to turn off the power to the soundbar (unplug it) and then cycle the TV power.”

Had the same issue on my Sony Bravia 950H TV. Installed a Roku stick and coincidentally my Bose 900 sound bar with Bose 700 bass module have not had any trouble with sound turning off. Also make sure your HDMI cable from soundbar is plugged up into your e-arc TV port.
