Day two and having problems.
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I work for Best Buy and there’s a strong sentiment against Bose products compared to Sonos. I sometimes work at different locations and it’s all the same feeling against Bose sound bars. I have a stronger discount with Bose product so I ended up giving them a shot. Not a fan so far… at first I wasn’t really impressed with the sound quality compared to my OG Apple HomePods. It was definitely louder and sounded a bit better. After I figured how to get Atmos running, that’s when I noticed the drastic improvement. However, day two and I’m already having problems. The bar is stuck on firmware update, which is giving limited functionality. App keeps saying it’s “Almost finished, may take a few minutes” It’s been an hour so far, same status. I might have have to return this and go with the Sonos or Sony sound bars. Giving it another week, if it glitches again after I figure out how to fix this “stuck update” issue. I’m definitely returning! **update** the update finally finished after “forcing” the update by pressing and holding the music source button on the remote for 10secs. I had to research online from other users having the same problem (figures) So far not a good initial impression with this bar… it seems my peer’s sentiments may actually hold some truth.

Sounds as good as it looks!

The bar is the perfect size, not too big like many others and not too small to look awkward with a large TV. Setup is fairly straightforward and the app is simple to use. The calibration tool helps tremendously.

Not worth the price
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I bought this for my 85” Samsung QLED tv. I have to admit, I really was expecting more. A lot more. I have owned countless Bose products and the other Bose products worked well. I thought this would be no different. The price is astronomical for the quality. I won’t be returning it because I don’t want to pay the restocking fee, plus I already bought the mounting brackets and everything is installed while looking very polished and nice. I’m just going to have to buy surround speakers to hopefully amp this up. This was a pretty surprising letdown from Bose

It's unexpected that the Soundbar didn't meet your expectations. We have two guides to ensure that will ensure you get the great Bose sound you expect. Make sure you run through the ADAPTiQ calibration during setup in the app, incase you didn't you can run the calibration https://bose.life/3ISO7WY as needed.
Make the sound more your own preference by adjusting the EQ settings of the Soundbar through the Bose Music app https://bose.life/34rt0Mw in the audio settings.

- A:Answer Confirmed the Bose 900 soundbar will work and pair with Acoustimass 300 and Virtually Invisible 300 surround speakers (now renamed Bose Surround speakers). I replaced my SoundTouch 300 Bar and transferred the bass module and surround speakers from that to the 900 successfully. After installing the 900 unplug the surround speakers for 30 seconds and then plug them back in. The light will come on solid amber at first but after it can’t find the old bar it will begin to blink amber. Once it’s blinking go into the Bose Music app and add accessories. Found mine and effortlessly paired to the 900. The acoustimass 300 shows up under its new name (Bose Base Module 700).

Q: QuestionAre these newer bose soundbars fully controllable only when on wifi? I want one but we don't have access to wifi in our area and it seems like these bose soundbars need wifi for functions that shouldn't call for it but their remote design forces it.

- A:Answer While Wi-Fi access provides a range of additional benefits, including enabling product firmware updates, and Amazon Alexa, the Soundbar 900 can be used independently without the use of Wi-Fi. Included is a remote which can be used to operate the system independently.

- A:Answer Hello, the Bose 900 Soundbar does work with the Subwoofer 500. I actually purchased the subwoofer 500 from bose. I bought it refurbished for $329 i think it cost. The subwoofer 500 is awesome. It is truly amazing. I keep it on 30, 40 out of 100. My son came in and said he can't believe that small subwoofer puts out that much bass. I don't know about the voltage question.

- A:Answer Tou should be able too . I have 2 soundbar 700 with 2 bass module 700 connected and a extra soundbar 900 and i can connect all three of them using the bose music app by grouping them all together

Q: QuestionNoticed there isn't a wall mount/bracket. I've ordered mine and waiting for it to be picked up... Anyone know if the 700 Sound Bar Wall Bracket/Mount works with the new 900?

- A:Answer It does work with the 900. The included stencil sheet will be no help but I have seen people struggle with that, mounting the older soundbars anyway. Just measuring between the two mount points should be fine. Attached pic is of the 900 which I installed recently with the Bose brackets.

Q: QuestionCan this be used to replace the front 3 channels in a traditional 5.1 setup? I have wall mounted L/C/R now but will be getting a larger TV that will end up covering those positions and want to hook a soundbar up to my receiver instead.

- A:Answer No it is a standalone soundbar that is designed to be used on its own, or with the options bass module 500 or 700 and the Bose surround speakers. It is not compatible with other products.
