While Wi-Fi access provides a range of additional benefits, including enabling product firmware updates, and Amazon Alexa, the Soundbar 900 can be used independently without the use of Wi-Fi. Included is a remote which can be used to operate the system independently.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is fully controllable with the Bose music app, and yes you will need to be on WiFi. I’m not to satisfied with this product sound is great but functionality is sort of horrible. I have the base module 700 and it is making a crackling popping noise. I looked it up and the Bose website says it could be interference from other WiFi products inferring with the Bluetooth connection. But their sound bar has to be connected to WiFi it’s really stupid.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It appears so. My Fios Wi-Fi went down for 10 minutes and so did my soundbar.. It looks like you could use this sound bar fully only with the Wi-Fi and the app. Even though I had it directly connected with an HDMI cable to the TV, it still went down when the Wi-Fi went down. My sound touch 300 soundbar never did that Wi-Fi or not. It's not too good of a product design but it does sound terrific..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Soundbar comes with a remote which allows you to control power and volume. You cannot use the Alexa or Google Assistants and streaming music preset channels if there is no Wi-Fi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It still comes with a remote, and you can use it with Bluetooth
