You are correct, you must have an eArC port. Regular ARC will not get you Atmos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually, I just bought this soundbar and hooked it up to my LG OLED tv. The tv is a few years old and only has an One HDMI ARC input. The Bose has an EARC. It took me a while to figure out how to get sound out of this connection. Apparently, there have been many issues between this unit and LG tvs. However, after changing my HDMI cable, and removing my old optical cable from the back of the tv, the sound worked. It was amazing! I added surround speakers and a bass module. I put on The Avengers ( which has ATMOS) and on the Bose app, it stated that it was, indeed, playing ATMOS! Great soundbar with the best sound I’ve heard since using large, separate speakers!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am still trying to get it myself I will keep reading up on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ARC does not support Atmos. I will cancel my bose 900 order. I can only enjoy Atmos with a receiver set. With Bose deciding to have a receiver-less model, there's no way I can connect my devices to bose and get 4k output to my tv. what a bummer :(
