“Can this be used to replace the front 3 channels in a traditional 5.1 setup? I have wall mounted L/C/R now but will be getting a larger TV that will end up covering those positions and want to hook a soundbar up to my receiver instead.”

No it is a standalone soundbar that is designed to be used on its own, or with the options bass module 500 or 700 and the Bose surround speakers. It is not compatible with other products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This soundbar isn’t made for using with a separate receiver since it has its own amplifier and interface built into the soundbar. Usually all your sources plug into the TV or another switcher and one hdmi arc output (for best sound quality) goes into this soundbar. No receiver necessary. Optional Bose surround sound and/or base module can be connected to the soundbar with the Bose music app. I hope this helps.
