Are you using both ear buds? Both ears buds have to be out of the case and you use the right one to start it. But if you return the right one only to its case the left one will stop.If you are using both of them and still have no sound than you probably have a defective set.

Only reason I don't hear anything out of it is cause when I take the left ear pod out it stops making sound but when I push the button all the sound comes back
