Q: QuestionI see that they are IPX4 rated which means they can take rain and sweat. Would they be able to tolerate a shower? Assuming there isn't water pouring on them constantly

• A:Answer Great question! IPX4 does mean that the headphones can tolerate splashes of water from any direction, but they can't tolerate jets of water (which would be IPX5). That being said, we don't recommend using these in the shower because they could be accidently exposed to direct jets of water. We hope this helps!

Q: QuestionCan you use only the left earbud by itself.

• A:Answer The mic for phone calls is in the right earpiece. The bluetooth connection is between the right earpiece and the source. The left then connects to the right. You can use the right one alone, leaving the left in the charging case (I do this sometimes while driving), but you can't use the left one alone unless the right one is on and connected. You could use the left one alone if you connect using the right one and then maybe put it in your pocket but if you put it back in the charging case the left one will lose its collection.

Q: QuestionLove my Bose earbuds. Except for one issue. The left earbud does not work while on a phone call. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. Please help. This only happens on a phone call. While listening to music you hear both. Just phone calls.

• A:Answer Not a good fit for smaller ears, in my opinion. These are by far the BEST quality in sound for phone calls and media, but the size may not be right for everyone

• A:Answer For basic yard work it should be fine, but if using gas powered equipment, you won’t be able to hear anything. I used on an airplane and have to keep at the maximum level to hear anything.

Q: Questionhow many minutes/hours music time per charge?

• A:Answer They are rated at 5 hours, the case holds two full charges for an additional 10 hours. I have the regular SoundSport Wireless, which are rated at 6 hours of listening per charge. I have found that value to be pretty accurate, so I would assume the same for these.

• A:Answer The apple headphones have never stayed in my ear very well and hurt after a while of having them in. I've had my soundsports (the wired Bose bluetooth headphones that look just like these) for a year and I love them. I find the sound quality to be better than apple's earbuds and Beats (now owned by Apple) and they don't hurt my ears like the earbuds. Also, yes they will have Siri support through the multi-function button. The multi-function button will play, pause, take a call, hang up a call, skip to next song, go back to previous song, or hail Siri and these also have volume control buttons on either side of the multi-function button. The Apple Airpods, on the other hand, only has the option of double taping either side Airpod to hail Siri (or you can change that to just playing and pausing the music). All in all, the Soundsport Free has a lot more functionality.

• A:Answer The Right ear bud is the primary ear bud, you must use it when using the earbuds. You could leave the left earbuds at home but that would not work in your case. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer I have just gotten Bose Soundsport free and when I tried to connect to my Samsung 4k tv, it would not connect. I have 65" and 55" and they both can't connect. My TV sees it, but can't connect. I have couple of other wireless earphones that have no problem connecting to Samsung tv's. I did see many users of Bose in the Bose forum that are having trouble connecting to Samsung TV. I didn't try connecting to other TV's.

We’ve heard from some customers who are experiencing audio synchronization delays while watching select videos. However, we some great news! Our engineers have identified the cause for this issue, and are currently working on a software update that will be made available to customers by mid-December. This update will substantially improve audio-video synchronization for those using Bluetooth devices that fully support Audio Video Distribution Transport Protocol (AVDTP) version 1.3 or later. We have confirmed Apple iPhones, and iPads use this protocol, and we are currently evaluating other popular Bluetooth devices. We’ll provide an update to you as soon as it’s ready.
