• Have the same issue, design decision by Bose. Many people complaining about it. I returned mine because of it.

• Exactly. This is the reason I'm returning mine. I know its minor but I just don't like that. The New Icon X, allegedly has stereo in both ears on a phone call.

• Thank you for the inquiry. For the SoundSport Free wireless headphones, this is normal operation. This is a result of how the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) technology handles the Hands Free Bluetooth Profile (HFP). TWS is the technology used to broadcast audio from the right bud, to the left bud. • This is how they are designed. There is probably a reason Bose chose to do it this way, but I am not aware of it.
