I usually can't go more than 30ft from my phone while wearing my Soundsports or Quietcomfort 35s, so I'd assume the range is about the same for these. However, some smartwatches have internal storage. For example, I can download songs onto my Apple Watch and walk away from my phone. If my headphones are connected (via bluetooth) to my watch, I can listen to the songs that I've downloaded.
