• The right earbud controls EVERYTHING so if that one is charging you cannot use either, however you can be charging the left ear and still use the right ear.

• No. You can charge the Left bud and listen to music on the Right but not the other way around. The left bud is dependant on the Right bud so it won't work without the Right bud. Hope this helps.
