These speakers are easy to move from one place to the other including outside, but they are not waterproof and do not have a battery. So, as long as your Wi-Fi sign is strong enough outside, they should be fine. The distance will depend more on the strength of your wireless signal than on these speakers. They will provide excellent sound and can be turned up quite loudly.
