A:Answer Yes, you can scan direct to a thumb drive. When the scan is being set up in the control panel, you can name the new file, then direct where the output is saved. If your thumb drive is on a system (say the main computer), you simply direct the output to the device. There is a USB port on the machine itself, and I haven't tried to scan into a thumb drive using the onboard USB port. My guess is you can do this, as well. I just haven't tried it yet.
