I have mine set up with my Google Home app and can change color, turn on/off, and set custom settings.

Yup with the c by ge app in your phone store

Definitely. You can use Google Home or you can use the C by GE App. You do need to have it connect to a home automation device such as a Google mini or the C by GE connect wall plug that allows it to connect to the internet.
