Hi there! If the light turns on at the switch, but not via the Google Home app or Google Voice Assistant, this means your Google Home device most likely dropped the connection to the bulb. The bulb will need to be reset in order for it to be paired again to your Google Home device. The reset process is 8 seconds on, 2 seconds off (repeat 5x or more until you see the bulb flash.) If you are unable to reset the bulb, please make sure you're not using a three-way lamp to reset the bulb and that you are not counting too slow or too fast. Feel free to contact our Support at 1-844-302-2943 if you are still unable to reset them. We will be happy to reset it with you over the phone. - C by GE Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Reset google home, then use the reset video on YouTube and follow the light on and off that occurs, not what it says.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm assuming you're writing specifically about the C Light by GE. I own 6 of them and I set them up exactly the same way and it worked flawlessly every time. 1. I turned the light switch off, put the bulb in, and turned it back on. 2. Opened Google Home app on my phone and tapped on the little person icon on the right (Account) while I was on wifi NOT mobile data. You must be on your local wifi network to set it up. 3. Tapped " + Setup or add" and it scanned and found the light bulb immediately and I added it to my Home. You have to add it to your specific Home (we call ours The Shire), otherwise it just sits in the Google app by itself not associated with the rest of your smart home setup. 4. I named it what I wanted to call it, such as Bedroom Light and then added it to the room called Bedroom 5. Now I can either say "Hey Google, turn off the Bedroom light" or "Hey Google, turn off all lights in the Bedroom" 6. I had one time where it was wonky but I flipped the light switch on and off 10 times quickly and it reset the bulb. Good Luck!
