“Do the bulbs have to be plugged into the smart plug to toggle the lights with HomeKit or does the smart plug connect to HomeKit and the bulbs wirelessly? Also, if I connect the smart plug and bulbs with a lamp, do I need a special lamp to dim the bulbs?”

• The bulbs do not require a smart plug. They dim and turn on through your assistant. The smart plug will turn on and off the lamps or anything else it may be plugged into.

• Hi Davian, The bulbs do not need to be plugged in with the smart plug.In order to use Homekit you will need a C by GE C-reach Hub. It is the only hub that will connect with Homekit. Once you have everything setup you will be able to dim the bulbs from our C by GE app and the Apple Homekit app.
