A:AnswerHello, the Mode button on the UPS is meant to mute the unit and scroll through the display options. If this UPS has an LCD display you can see the different input and output voltage along with the estimated battery health. The default settings are recommended for this UPS. Please contact 1.877.297.6937 if you have any other questions.
A:AnswerHello, this UPS would not be recommended for that power supply. This UPS can only support up to 530 watts while the power supply is much larger. I recommend contacting our Sales or Technical Support team to recommend the correct UPS for your computer. Please call P 1.877.297.6937. Great question!
A:AnswerHello Bob. The unit is designed to work with basic electronics. The power demands for devices with motors may overload and damage UPS. Thank you for your question!
A:AnswerThis unit is not designed for use with appliances. The power demands of these devices may overload and damage the UPS. Thank you for your question!
A:AnswerThe unit is equipped with an auto-charge feature. When the UPS is plugged into an AC outlet, the battery will automatically charge whether the UPS is turned on or off. Thank you for your question!
A:AnswerUsing a CPAP machine or any other device with an electric motor is not recommended with battery back-ups of any type, or with a power strip. The reason is that both of these devices contain resistive elements that can cause the CPAP or any other electrical motor-powered device to overheat.
A:AnswerYou don't provide sufficient info to have any idea. You need to calculate the current draw during shutdown. As an example, if the stove draws 5 amps at 110v, it's consuming 550 watts. Based on this backup battery rating, assuming only the stove is attached, you have about 10 minutes of power.
A:AnswerI have no black and white answer to your question. I have no idea how much current draw your sleep appea machine has. I would get a recommendation from the manufacture.
A:AnswerProbably yes.
I use mine to provide power to 3 computers, 1 laptop and 2 monitors.
But the time it buys you is to be able to gracefully exit a game and shutdown the system.
A:AnswerHello Joroshi. Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically regulating low voltages and over voltages, within defined tolerances, when incoming utility power has minor fluctuations. Thank you for your question!
A:AnswerThe response time for this unit is less than 6 milliseconds, and as it is a UPS it is designed to meet UL 1778 ( UL1449 is strictly for surge protectors). The exact VPR is not a number that is available, but the unit has 1030 Joules of surge protection, and meets compliance with UL 1778's standards. Thank you for your questions!
A:AnswerThis unit has 2 vents on each side of it, one near the top and one near the bottom. As long as their is at least 1 inch of space around at least 2 (preferably 3) of the vents, it is okay to use the unit on its side. Thank you for your question Matt!
A:AnswerDepends on what you have plugged into it, it’s designed for backup use without interruption, I’ve seen various estimates online that average between 2 hours and 6 hours.
A:AnswerNot really…It’s not meant to be a portable power source… It’s meant to prevent damage and loss of data during brown outs or quick power outages. You’re talking about one of these portable inverter devices with a large battery in it.
A:AnswerHello Andy, Unless the unit does not have a power conditioner for use with a generator. Unless the generator is an inverter generator, we would not recommend this unit for use with a generator. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 877-297-6937 and we'd be happy to assist. Thank you for submitting your question!
A:AnswerNot a good idea. Any electric motor has a huge inrush current which this device is not designed to handle. Also AC motors need a pure sine wave and I don't know if the DC to AC converter on this unit will provide that.
There are uninterruptible power supplies available for that application and you would be better off using one of those.
A:AnswerHello, It would be best to compare the amount of power the fan draws to the estimated run time chart available on the Cyber Power Systems website. If you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call at 877--297-6937. We'd love to hear from you!
