• It’s very stiff at first so just push firm and wiggle it back and forth!

• Not sure what you really mean. You can plug any type of 3 or 2 prong plug, that you would normally plug into a 110 outlet, into it and also a USB cord. Maybe you just need to push harder to plug it in?
