You can get a different brand. If you want to add to your ram i would suggest getting two new sticks however since the new one if you purchase a faster brand will slow down to the other rams speeds. most ram sticks will come in a pair of two and i have done this to this computer already with the anarchy product i have attached to this answer. i replaced it with the anarchy 32GB (2PK x 16GB) 3.2 GHz DDR4 but you can replace it with what ever you feel comfortable paying. Ram ranges from $50 - 500+

Most cases, you should be able to use another brand RAM, as long as its the same frequency and speed as the original RAM. The RAM in the PC should be a 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM.
