A: This product is a chip that goes inside a computer to provide memory. Computers have two different types of data storage: Random Access Memory, or RAM, that stores programs and files while they are being used; and Read-Only Memory, or ROM, a more stable storage that holds files and programs when not in use. This product is the first type. This memory is not external; rather, it is designed to replace or supplement your computer's current memory. If you are considering adding memory to an existing computer, I would suggest researching your current system to see if this product would be compatible. RAM chips have differing physical structures depending on the standard used to build them.

Q: Will this work with a 2019 iMac 27" model?

Q: Why is this so expensive? 16gb of ddr4 2400mhz RAM can be found for much cheaper
A: That's what I was thinking too.
A: The ram memory is necessary for most games now is 16 gigs. 32 gigs is better. The graphics card will be equally important 1080 g force is a good one. You may get by with less but if you want to play with out having to tinker with the dispay settings the beefier the ram and graphics card the better. These will all increase the power consumption and may need a larger power supply. I built a computer for my son and used a 300 sieries mother board ( ROG Maximus Hero X ) with i 7 PROCESSOR AND A SEA HAWK WATER COOLED 1080 GRAPHICS CARD WITH ONLY 16 GIG RAM (WISHED I DID 32 GIG) AND FIGURED I NEEDED 850 WATT power supply to make sure enough at max consumption.
