Questionyou keep saying inside outlet. why not use the ones i have outside?

- Answer That is to cover their butt and to prevent a hazard. The plugs are not weather resistant, so they will not block out the elements. I have mine plugged in outside, granted they are inside of plastic housing but they've worked fine.

QuestionI just installed my system. It is a neat system and works well with one exception. One of the cameras, the longest distance away come in and out. Sometimes I see a picture, sometimes I don't see a picture. Can this be fixed?

QuestionIt states that 104 degree Fahrenheit is the max temperature for operations , does that mean it would not function well in Las Vegas where temperatures can reach up to 115 Degrees Fahrenheit ?

QuestionHow do I view the recordings on my Defender WHD1T4B4 security system? I did not receive a manual with the system I purchased through Best Buy.

- Answer If you wanna do that on your TV you just have to go to the top screen where it says record search . Click on it and it will show the calendar . That’s where you can look for the date and the time of the recording. But on your phone you go under menu and click on play back . I hope this will help and sorry for the late response i was out of town.

- Answer Yes, there is approximately 12-15 ft. of electric cord. I did have to buy additional wood screws, they were cheap and stripped easily when installing.

- Answer Great question Sasha, Defender Wireless HD does not support audio input or output. There are no microphones on the cameras or audio output on the DVR.

- Answer Great question Ali. As long as those cameras are within the 650' range with as much line of sight as possible, they can be used in different locations. If you mean use two at one property and the others elsewhere, that will not work, they need to be within range of the receiver.

QuestionI need to monitor the outside of our home in Roan Mtn when we are gone, I only get 1.2 gb download with century link internet.I need a recorder that can be checked weekly. will this work

- Answer Yes it will granted you have uninterrupted internet so make sure its connected to the router's Ethernet plug. 1.2G download is fine however the unit will need the upload bandwidth rather download. Either case its better than nothing, my guess you'll appreciate it. Good luck

- Answer Great question! Range of these cameras with line of sight can be up to 650 feet. Unfortunately if the cameras are too far away, we do not sell extenders.

- Answer The cameras work great . They can view supposedly up to 130 ft. .My cameras seem to get a farther distance,but the farther the distance the less clearer the picture.One important fact when installing on house sides etc; leave some distance from metal soffits etc; otherwise you may run into some interference with antenna.Real nice cameras.

- Answer Great question! Unless the cameras are all in one place the adapters would likely need multiple power outlets. If they are all close enough to reach one outlet, this can be done, but you may see the cameras interfere being so close together.

- Answer The camera power supplies must be plugged into a power outlet. You cannot wire them directly into your house wiring.

QuestionFollow up on original question. I fully realize the camera cannot operate on 110v. What I want to know is what voltage they do use? There are a lot of "converters" available that can be hard wired as opposed to "plugged into an outlet".

- Answer The DefenderHD Wireless cameras use DC 9V 600mA ±10% adapters. Please bear in mind that we do not recommend use with other adapters or converters, using these devices may void warranty in the event of damage.

- Answer Great question. The cameras require an outlet for the included adapters. Hardwiring them into 110V with no regulation will damage the cameras.
