This laptop has more than enough juice to run Ubuntu and Windows. But you would need to either set up a dual-boot on your hard disk or re-format the hard disk and do without Windows. Here 's a decent guide to setting up a dual boot on Windows 7; the steps are similar for Windows 10: https://www.lifewire.com/ultimate-windows-7-ubuntu-linux-dual-boot-guide-2200653 Be sure to create a Windows backup disk with the OS BEFORE you start, in case you get bollixed up.

I just recommend this would be better answered by research online, mainly @ Linux support/forum related sites, & review testing sites. Unlikely people here will know for certain, especially for 1 specific distro & version of Linux. Mainly quality of device driver support & performance, which is also a big determining factor, beyond just the hardware specs & performance.)
