I bought this laptop for my daughter, teenager going to 8th grade. She uses for school homework and education online programs, so I did not pay attention to any 'gamer' feature. Then I was surprised to see the solid performance of this laptop with its 7th generation Intel processor and 6GB RAM. My daughter really likes games, and I let her play on her spare time. She is enjoying the touch screen feature for her working and playing. She finds it a little bit too big, but you know how this works, the thinnest it is, the more expensive, so this one is a price/performance best buy.

First off, I am not a big dell fan. I love ASUS but my ASUS laptop is and dying on me so I needed to upgrade. I was looking around but couldn't find a new ASUS that I liked. I came across this laptop and I actually like it. The reason why I like ASUS laptops is the keyboard and touchpad. I am very meticulous when it comes to this because I do a lot of writing! So when I upgraded to this new dell, it actually didn't feel so bad. One thing I do not like because I am not used to it is the touch screen. Never from day one was a big fan of touch screen. I do not touch my screen at all either so doesn’t make a big difference but when I do try to wipe my screen (when the computer is on) I forget I am actually clicking away. This, I do not like but for others, it’s not bad. Therefore, I give it a 4* because I dislike touch screen. Other than that, I would give it 5*. Spec wise, the specs are what it states. It runs fast and battery lasts me about 4 hours. Note that I have had it for a few months only now. Haven’t had any problems with it. One thing I really like is the speakers. They are very loud and clear! I like this because my old laptop had some weak speakers that were built in. Where my thumb is at are the speakers. They look small but they pack a sound.

Got this fellow for its memory and to save old home vhs movies on. So far have half my collection and only used a fraction of space. Really like the touch screen the associate recommended and it helps because I don't like laptop mousepads. I'll be getting a mouse as soon as 'deal of the day' has a nice one.

It is as promised. Liked the Dell Laptop on the website itself, however after purchasing I don't regret at all!

I've used the Dell - Inspiron 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 6GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive for just over three weeks. So far so good.
At first glance and use, it is obviously a low cost laptop. It's outer shell is plastic and not quite as solid as my last laptop with a metal case. However, the inside - the parts that make it a PC - are excellent so far.
The hard drive is a hefty 1TB, and the processor fast and powerful enough for apps and programs for general use. The touchscreen is quick and responsive. The touchscreen itself feels a little flimsy - again because of the lightweight plastic. It doesn't come with a lot of ride-along apps and they are easy to remove.
It certainly does the trick and even with 6GB memory it zips right along when streaming and sharing files.
I gave it only 4 stars because of its lightweight construction and flimsy feel"
It is a great little laptop for the reasonable price.

Usually I'm not a fan of touch screen laptops but this one is absolutely amazing. It works really fast, the battery is great and you're allowed to switch between laptop and tablet mode. It's really easy to navigate and lightweight to carry everyday. The color is amazing if you're tedious about that. Just an overall great laptop.

Really nice laptop by Dell.
Purchased for my daughter, but ended up keeping it for my self.
Good size not to small not to big. Love that it is touch screen. I'm old school and it took me a minute, but I learned how-to manipulate the screen after a few minutes wasn't hard, wasn't as big of a learning curve as I thought. I really enjoy using the laptop and has a big storage for my kids to down load music to. Move pretty fast and I can work on more than 1 thing at at time.
Gave daughter laptop I order earlier this year. Think I may still buy her this one if it goes on sale, feeling kind of bad, because it is a such a great computer.

I bought two of these. One for each of my daughters for High School.
They absolutely love them! They particularly like the large, bright screen.
This laptop is an excellent value with good performance, and pleasing looks. The top is textured to prevent smudging and finger prints. These laptops are also pretty sturdy despite having a plastic shell.
Wireless performance is reliable and speedy.
Memory is expandable to 8GB, although we have not found a need to upgrade from the included 6GB yet.
Overall, these laptops are a reasonable, affordable, and well appointed laptop if you do not need a super high resolution screen.
My high schoolers are very happy with them and use them constantly for school and fun.

I purchased this computer because my old Toshiba died. That computer had gone through 2 hard drives. This Dell lap top has worked fine for more than 6 months. It is light, fast, has plenty of memory for me, and I really like that the key board has a number pad! The display is a touch unit but for me the mouse works best.

We needed something to replace our 7 year old Toshiba that wouldn't break the bank. This Dell fits the bill perfectly, we got it on sale for $329.99. The display is crisp and bright, touchscreen works great, and the 1 TB HD has more than enough storage. We did purchase another 4GB memory stick (it comes with a 4GB and 2GB pre-installed) and we upgraded 8GB for the system. We are sure the standard 6GB would have been fine, but just wanted to increase to improve the multitasking. Overall, it is a nice laptop for the price (just wish it had a back lit keyboard). We have had it for a week and no complaints!

I am a Dell laptop buyer. They have always served me well. I was unsure which model to move up to this time but chose the one with the touch screen feature. I love it. The laptop's price was reasonable, and it looks nice. I'm very happy with it. The battery charge lasts a good amount of time, and it is quick in its processing speed. I would like to add a backlit keyboard to a future Dell purchase. I give this one 5 stars, but if it was backlit, it'd get a 5+. :)

I bought this laptop a little over 6 months ago for my work-at-home job. I've been happy with it so far. I use it to remote into other offices and its kept up with my high demands of working remotely. I play music on it while working, checking emails, downloading documents and it still is pretty fast. If not connected to a power source, I can get up to 8+ hours on the battery which is awesome.
The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it has crashed on me a couple of times while I was in the middle of work. It doesn't happen often but enough for me to notice it was annoying. Once it crashes tho, it takes about 3 minutes to correct the issue and it reboots for me.
I don't use the touchscreen as much but it is there when I need it, its a convenient feature to have.
Overall, I am happy with this laptop, it's a powerful little machine and I love Dell products. I have had HP's in the past and would chose Dell over HP any day.

Excellent value for Touch Screen PC

I got this at a 1 day sale price of $299 recently. Based on price, it is an excellent value for a touch screen with the latest 7th Gen Core i3 chip. It is easy to set up and works well. Touch screen is nice. The only con is that when PC is plugged in, the top of the screen immediately turns a bit reddish and fades downward and non-uniform in color. However, it does not do that when PC is on battery. On battery screen colors look normal and uniform. I played with the power settings and it remains this way. I read most reviews before I bought it but did not see anyone mentioning this effect. And I checked with 2 Best Buy stores and their computers acted the same way. But sales people had no idea why. All other PCs (Dell or not) did not act this way. But with this price, this is not too much of an issue. Since I use the Dell on battery most of the time.

This laptop has been a great value. We have a limited budget for our remote locations. I generally purchase these when on sale and flip between the i3 and Pentium. For an i3, 6GB, 1TB, and touchscreen, this has been a good value and a good laptop.

I am pleasantly surprised with this laptop. Picked it up on sale and saved a few dollars. This is the second time I asked the Best Buy sales person what would he recommend in my price range for what I do with computers and that's how I ended up with my first Dell. Very nice display and really good speakers, the best I have ever heard in a laptop. The laptop is well build and feels solid, I would recommend it, it all depends on what you use any laptop for on how much power you need and this has not been my year for new computers. With that said and for what it's worth I have returned about 3 computers bought from other places because they were to slow or just not well built. We have two laptops from Best Buy that were suggested by the sales person and they are the two that have worked out for us. I know i sound like I am gushing over the Best Buy employees, but it is frustrating to buy a computer and have to return it. I will not be returning this one works better then expected.

Have had good luck with Dell products in the past so decided to purchase this after my old laptop died. I like the large screen, plenty of file storage. I will say however that it takes forever to power up and access the internet, so much so that i put it in sleep mode instead of shutting down when not using it to avoid the long wait.

This is a great laptop for the price. good speed, good storage, great resolution. I thought the touch screen without being a 2 in 1 was weird but now i use it all the time. lightweight and really good battery life.
