Assuming you have an Internet connection, you can download pretty much whatever is legal to download as long as you have free disk space. You can also record in mono using the built-in mic, or configure the earphone jack as a stereo line input and record from that. But, if your goal is high quality live audio recording, you'll need additional equipment.
