- Answer Yes. You will need a monitor with either a DisplayPort or HDMI connector. (I found this out the hard way, and had to swap out my old VGA-only monitor for an HDMI monitor among the spares in my basement.) If you don't already have a DisplayPort or HDMI monitor, see if BestBuy will give you a discount if you buy such a monitor as a bundle with this Dell tower.
