“What is the battery life of this product? I got one for Christmas and the battery went from 100-66% in about 30 minutes which I began to use it right after it fully charged. In the overview it says it has long battery life.”

Doesn't sound right to me unless you were really working it hard playing video games or watching a movie on battery.
