Is this strictly wireless or does it also have a NIC null

Its wireless out of the box, but it has USB-C and TB over usbc so its easy to dongle a wired connection in.

You would have to get a dongle otherwise all wireless

There is no built-in Ethernet jack. The case is too thin to accommodate the height of that connector. I use Dell's USB-C connector dongle that includes Ethernet, USB-A as well as HDMI.
