Is this receiver HDR compatible? null

Yes - though you may need to manually set HDR on some TVs if your 4K player is on the Denon. I have a Samsung 4K player on the Denon and a Samsung MU8000 series TV and that's what I did

Yes. Although you have to enable the HDR pass thru in the receiver settings. It’s not turned on by default.
