Create an immersive home theater setup in your family room with this Denon Ultra HD receiver. This unit, which outputs a formidable 185W per channel, has eight HDMI ports and works with a range of external devices, delivering stunning 7.1 surround sound. Use the HDMI 4K passthrough port on the front of this Denon Ultra HD receiver for full HDR audio.
A: Hello Brad! You need to adjust the sound level on each input. On the input you're having problems click Option on your remote, select Chanel Level Adjust, and change each of your speakers from 0 to 12. This will cause your system to get loud around 30 or so.
A: Check the jack pack (inputs) on the back of both units. This was the main difference for me. The 1400 just has hdmi, the 930 has a full compliment of audio video inputs not just hdmi. That was the deciding factor for me.
Q: Does this come with a remote? If not what app would be used to control it?
A: Yes, It comes with a remote. It is also compatible with the Logitech Harmony remote systems. It can also be controlled, mostly, through the "Denon 2016 AVR Remote" app found on Google Play. I read that there's one on the Apple store as well but I don't have an Apple device to verify it. There is also the HEOS app to consolidate all your streaming options into one place and bluetooth it to the receiver. The android app works well enough, provides ton of superfluous information about what's going on with the system, but can be a bit quirky at times. If your receiver is on the opposite side of the house from the internet router, I would recommend using a wired ethernet connection either via direct wiring or via a powerline extender. It lessens the chance of quirky disconnects and firmware update fails.
A: I go optical to optical on both, using an optical cable. You did not mention what outputs you have on your CD changer. If it is older you can use RGB jacks (red and white) to go from receiver to CD changer.
A: Hdmi or optical is always the better way to go. There is no q and b channels on most of the newer units but you can Google it there is a way the get bluetooth speakers and use them through the denon
A: The menu and volume bar show up on the tv screen during use if that’s what you were asking.
