Hello Brad! You need to adjust the sound level on each input. On the input you're having problems click Option on your remote, select Chanel Level Adjust, and change each of your speakers from 0 to 12. This will cause your system to get loud around 30 or so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if this is "normal" or not but I have experienced the exact same thing. I have Altec Lansing Model 19 studio monitors with a center speaker and rear surround speakers but no sub. I went through the speaker setup procedure using the provided microphone and stand as they specified and we also have to use a normal listening volume between 55 and 70. That seems a bit odd to me but as we haven't needed to go above 70 I haven't gotten too worried about it (though I do wonder if the unit is a bit underpowered for our system/room). My wife complains that she has to pump the volume button for a long time to get the volume to get to the right level. Overall we really like the unit but agree that this is an odd feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Be sure when you set the individual speaker volume...you err on the side of too loud. You can always change it back. You can find this in the pink noise test for each speaker. I have a 9.2 Onkyo from 4 years ago and I had the same issue with overall volume output. I had to call Onkyo help line.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this receiver and also have Polk speakers. I think it is normal. You can set individual speaker levels by source to boost individual speaker volume. Hit the option button to try that. Also try the dynamic volume setting.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can adjust the individual output level for each speaker in the menu so that you don’t have to have the main volume so high to reach the desired loudness.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes that’s normal to that brand because or like miles are into kilometers. I’m usually around 60 just so I can hear it good
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't quote me, but check to see if your speakers are set to 'small' within the setup menus. I've heard that if your speakers are set to 'large', then AV receivers assume that the 'large' speakers are sufficient for bass and no subwoofer needed. Set the speakers to 'small' even if they are, in fact, large.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
