Hello Clay, This is Dan with Dyson. The robot can cover an entire level of a home at a time. If it gets low on charge it will return to the dock, recharge and then resume cleaning. It can repeat this as many times as is necessary to clean all accessible areas, provided that the bin is emptied when full. To move to another floor, you may simply move the docking station and the robot to the next floor to start its duties. Regarding the noise output, 74 dBa is less than what our upright models emit. Most Dyson uprights emit 86 dBa. Of course it will vary by personal preference but it may be a bit loud for sleeping conditions. Best wishes, Dan
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can not use it on two floors, unless you manually move it. As to noise, quieter than standard upright vacuum. Ours is on first floor, can not hear it at night from upstairs.

Charge it at the base station and then if you must just carry 360 and charger to second floor and let it begin from the base, or you can pick it up from base station carry it up stairs and push button to make 360 start. To be honest if you have more then 500Sqft of each floor its better to let the 360 start from the charger, because if you pick 360 and carry it up, it will only stop and return to starting after its cleaned everything or if battery needs charging. You must download the app and then you can adjust the setting to a lower power and quieter clean up. However, you must keep the area lite for 360 to see. Your also taking away a lot of suction power with this setting. For wood floors its a little bit less then the sound of an upright because there is no carpet to buff the sound. Carpet clean yes %50 less noise.
