QuestionHow quickly does it clean in terms of sq/ft per minute/hour?

- Answer I'm trying one out now, but will probably end up returning it.. To answer your question, I was able to get it to run 1 hour and 39 minutes in quiet mode and it covered 930 sq sf. The last 20 minutes of that run time though was it looking aimlessly for it's docking station!! Very frustrating to watch considering how expensive it is and other robots I own dock effortlessly 95% of the time.

QuestionHow well does this get into corners? I have a botvac connected right now and it's design makes it get into the corners effortlessly - I know the iRobot has brushes to handle this with it's circular design but I do not see anything like that on here.

- Answer Mine doesn't do well in corners. I have to sweep corners first.

QuestionWill the Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum return to its base to re-charge - then once re-charged, will it go back to where it left off to continue vacuuming until the entire one level area is all vacuumed?

QuestionDoes it only vacuum (carpet)? What can it do with hardwood?

- Answer I have carpet, hardwood, and tile floors. My Dyson 360 Eye easily transitions between all three during the same vacuuming run and has no problems at all. Does a great job on all three of my surfaces. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and have been very happy with every aspect of it's performance. I've had a Roomba iRobot for more than a year. It's going on Craigslist because the Dyson is that much better.

QuestionHow does it do stairs? Does it vacuum them or can it just avoid them at all costs?? Will it fall down them?

- Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. The 360 Eye contains proximity sensors to detect drops and and navigate around them. However, we would not recommend that it be used unattended in any area where it can access a down stairway or balcony. Nor should it be used in high or narrow spaces such as a shelf or stairs. QuestionHow do you set it up for two floors in the house? I do not know how loud 74 decibels is. Is that similar to your upright vacuums? Is it too loud to use while sleeping?

- Answer Hello Clay, This is Dan with Dyson. The robot can cover an entire level of a home at a time. If it gets low on charge it will return to the dock, recharge and then resume cleaning. It can repeat this as many times as is necessary to clean all accessible areas, provided that the bin is emptied when full. To move to another floor, you may simply move the docking station and the robot to the next floor to start its duties. Regarding the noise output, 74 dBa is less than what our upright models emit. Most Dyson uprights emit 86 dBa. Of course it will vary by personal preference but it may be a bit loud for sleeping conditions. Best wishes, Dan

- Answer No, if you have the standard sized tip kick that most kitchens cabinets have in the US this robot will not fit under them, it is too tall to do so.

- Answer Hello James, This is Dan with Dyson. The Dyson 360 Eye robot utilizes a lithium ion battery and it takes 2.75 hours to reach a full charge from empty. The battery itself is screw-fit and it is able to be replaced at home if needed. Best wishes, Dan

QuestionHow does this work with area rugs that have tassels? Do these lose threads/ends cause this to stall/get stuck? Do you have a demo video that shows this?

- Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. As a precaution the Dyson 360 Eye™ vacuum will stall when it comes into contact with rug tassels. It will stop, signal to turn off the brush bar and suction, then illuminate the troubleshoot lights to warn the user. It will then need to be reset by the user and it will continue its cleaning task. QuestionI want to purchase a quality vacuum, I have owned 2 roombas and loved them. My question is on set up it appears to have to have a long blank wall for its docking station. That's not possible in my home. What's the limit on space for docking?

- Answer Hi Tam, This is Dan with Dyson. The Dyson 360 Eye™ does not require a bare wall for placement of the docking station, however an open area is optimal. As long as the machine has enough room to access the dock it will be able to function as intended. By utilizing a unique 360-degree camera - the machine sees, maps and navigates around your home. QuestionHow big is the collection bucket? We have the cordless pet Dyson and have to empty it many times when vacuuming. How does the size of bucket compare to that vacuum? Just wondering if it would be able to vacuum our first floor w/out needing to be emptied.

- Answer I don't have the cordless pet vacuum, but do have another Dyson handheld electric vac, and the 360 eye has a smaller canister. I have a full lower level of hardwood floors and find that I do need to empty it about twice during the run. Perhaps it could go with only one emptying, but it is a small canister.
