“The hose on my dyson is not flexible at all. I don't even use it bc it's more work to fight the hose than try to vacuum. Will replacing the hose help? It came out of the box like this and there is nothing lodged inside.”

Yeah did you try extending the hard plastic piece out of the flexible tube?
