“Does this vacuum have a beater bar? I have wool rugs and am told NOT to use a vacuum with a beater bar. I’d also like one that works safely on hardwood floors.”

Hello Mart, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Ball Animal as with all of our other upright and canister vacuums does have a brush bar that spins. However, you can shut the brush bar off on this model, to vacuum with just suction on your wool rugs and hard floors. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
