Hi. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson upright vacuums. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal has no filters to maintain and uses our latest cyclone technology while the Dyson Ball has 2 filters that need to be continuously maintained once every 3 months. The Cinetic series has 180 air watts of suction while the Dyson Ball has 270. With the new cyclone technology on the Cinetic and no filter to maintain, it doesn't require the stronger suction. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cinetic doesn't have a filter you to have to replace. You are better off paying for the cinetic even though it is more expensive. By the time you replace the filter a couple of times, you would have paid for the better vacuum. This is a cleaning machine - worth the money!
