- Answer You remove it vertically. You need to be able to lift it up at least 6”

Questionwhat dyson do you recommend for wood floors only preferably cordless? How much life does it have before you have to charge it? If it has a cord how much does the one recommended weigh?

- Answer Hello Denise, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can use the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal on wood/bare floors, but if your flooring manufacturer does NOT recommend using a brush bar, you may wish to consider the Absolute model; this will include the soft roller head which was engineered specifically for use on bare floors. The V10 will provide up to one hour of run time, depending on the suction mode that you're using. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionI just got the v10. When vacuuming on max, the filter light keeps flashing and the machine intermittently chugs along as if it were making an effort to work. I am cleaning the filter, hoping that this will solve the problem. Checked and found NO blockages

QuestionI read a review and the person said his v10 animal cord free stick vacuum lasted for 4 years. I was hoping to get more . I had a shark that lasted 4 years and wasn't happy. Is that the usual time before the battery lasts and can you replace the battery?

QuestionI have a braided natural fiber rug that specifically recommends not using a vacuum with hard rollers as it will damage the fibers. Is there a Dyson vacuum or attachment that would be recommended for this application?

- Answer I would use the Dyson V10 as it allows you to adjust the amount of suction for the type of surface that you are vacuuming. I have used it on braided rugs and it performed nicely.

- Answer No, if it's attached to the vacuum then it's on. The v10 does have adjustment for the amount of vacuum the motor head uses.
