Hello Nadia, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great question - the Dyson V11 Torque Drive cord-free is perfect for homes with either carpeting, bare floors or both. The high torque cleaner head is designed to work across all floor types eliminating the need for two cleaner heads. It features stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments to capture dust from bare floors. The high torque cleaner will automatically sense and adapt to changes in the floor type so that the right amount of suction is provided. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It can be used on hardwood floors, however, some people prefer using the Dyson V10 that has a separate brush made specifically for that task. That brush can be purchased separately for the Dyson V11, but now you would be spending more money.
