A:AnswerI just bought the Dyson V11 Torque Drive and after using it for the first time over the weekend I had the same question. The directions were pretty much image only no words so I has no idea if there was a way to keep the button pressed down while vacuuming. I guess I just found out here that there isn't which is a total bummer. Almost a deal breaker for me because I had to keep stopping during vacuuming because my finger hurt SO bad!!! I cannot believe that they didn't make a trigger "stay on feature with the quality of this vacuum I am in shock!!!! I'm extremely bummed about this because it's something you don't think about when purchasing. Bad move on Dyson because I'm sure I'm not the only one that has a cramped hand while vacuuming. Probably returning due to not being able to use this to it's full extent. Maybe the next model will have this feature and I'll purchase again, until then Dyson!!!
A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11 Torque Drive empties into a clear dust bin, so there are no bags to maintain. There is a washable filter, that you'll wash once a month in cold water.

A:AnswerIt has a little more friction than you would think, but still very easy. The roller head automatically determines if you are vacuuming on hard surface or carpet, which is great, but it has a lot of suction pulling towards the carpet. There is however a slider knob on the front of the roller head that when opened allows air to enter and makes the roller head easier to push. Over all it is still very easy to use.
A:AnswerIt does not, but the brush head it comes with works great on hardwood, if you really like the brush roll, you can purchase it from Dyson, just make sure it is the V10 model brushroll as the older model brushrolls have different power requirements.
A:AnswerMounting it to the wall is completely optional. I currently don’t have it mounted because I’m in the same situation. It has a separate portable charger similar to what you would charge your phone or tablet with.

A:AnswerHello Nadia, this is Kelly with Dyson. Great question - the Dyson V11 Torque Drive cord-free is perfect for homes with either carpeting, bare floors or both. The high torque cleaner head is designed to work across all floor types eliminating the need for two cleaner heads. It features stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments to capture dust from bare floors. The high torque cleaner will automatically sense and adapt to changes in the floor type so that the right amount of suction is provided. You will not get the same benefits with the soft roller cleaner head.

A:AnswerWe decided to go with the 11 and we are glad we did. It’s really nice to always know how much battery life is left. With the 11’s digital display, it tells you in real time how much battery you have as you’re switching from carpet to vinyl. It’s worth the extra money in the end.
A:AnswerHi Brandon, this is Kelly with Dyson. The docks for the V8 and V11 cord-free machines are different sizes to accommodate the proper dimensions of the machine.

A:AnswerIf the Dyson electrical specs, or on the machine says 120-240 VAC, then it should be good. If it only says 120VAC, that won't work. US appliances are typically made for 50-60 cycle power (check the specs or machine label), so if you run 20 cycle AC or anything else outside the 50-60 cycle range in the Phillipines, then that is a problem. 240VDC or any DC voltage will not work. You will need a 120V to 240V adapter for the plug. Internet says "The Philippines operates on a 220V supply voltage and 60Hz." so looks like voltage is the only issue.
A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. A few of our machines use dual voltage transformers making them compatible across a range of voltages. This is why the chargers on the cordless state they will work on 110-240 voltage. However, it's still advisable not to use outside the country of purchase.
One of the reasons for advising against the use of machine outside of the country that they are sold in is that the machines are tested and certified to meet that countries regulations and requirements. For example a US machine is tested and certified to UL, ETL and FCC regulations to ensure that it is fit for retail. In the UK this would be BEAB, BS, IEC and CE, Canada CSA and so on. Each country has its own rules and regulations. We do not guarantee that a machine used outside of the country it is sold in meets all of the requirements of the second country. Plus, per the owner's manual it explains not to use internationally to avoid impact.

A:AnswerThe Torque comes with an extra tool and has a display screen instead of charge LEDs. The main draw of the screen vs the LEDs is that the screen displays an estimate of how long you can vacuum in minutes, shows a visual indication of where a detected blockage is, and shows which cleaning mode you're in with colored indicators.
It isn't a dealbreaker for me to not have the screen, but I do like to see the countdown for longer cleaning sessions.
