Hi Linda, this is Kelly with Dyson. This is a great question. The Dyson V8 Absolute model will include our soft roller cleaner head. That soft roller was engineered specifically for use on bare floors. There are no spinning bristles on that head. On the V11 Torque Drive, you do have the torque drive head. The high torque cleaner head features a Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system, which automatically changes the motor speed for different floor types. This helps drive bristles deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt, and capture fine dust from hard floors and crevices. My personal recommendation is generally to check with your flooring manufacturer if in doubt, just to get their recommendations for usage of a spinning brush bar, as well s any specifics they might have regairding suction as well. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you will use it just for tile and wood floor the v8 is enough, the V11 is mainly for carpet coz you need more suction to get what inside the carpet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the v11 and the brush is perfect for wood floors and tile. I love it I have no problem. I have the v7 and v11 and the v11 does a better job cleaning my tile floor
