We decided to go with the 11 and we are glad we did. It’s really nice to always know how much battery life is left. With the 11’s digital display, it tells you in real time how much battery you have as you’re switching from carpet to vinyl. It’s worth the extra money in the end.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V8 cord-free machine will provide 115 air watts of suction power, and up to 40 minutes of run time. The V11 Torque Drive is one of our most recent releases. This model will give you 185 air watts of suction power with up to one hour of run time. With the V11, you have three suction modes, as opposed to two on the V8. You also have the added benefit of the Torque-drive head, which intelligently adapts to vacuuming carpeting and bare floors, automatically adjusting suction, so you have the right power, for the right job when and where you need it. Both machines would include a free 2-year guarantee as well. Best Wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
