Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson V6 Absolute. The main difference between the two is battery life. The V6 will get 20 minutes of run time in standard mode and the V7 gets 30 minutes. Both have the same suction power. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Service

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The v7 has a stronger motor and lasts longer between charges but the biggest and most important difference is that the Absolute comes with two cleaner heads... 1 for floors and 1 for carpets. I bought the v6 Absolute for that exact reason.
