- Answer The Absolute comes with an additional attachment specialized for hard floors. It's great to have if you have a lot of hard floors. Otherwise, I'd get the Animal.

Questionhow well does it work with a shag area rug?

- Answer I use the hardwood floor attachment on my shag rug so it doesn't untwist the strands. This attachment doesn't have the beater brush so I feel like it is more gentle on the rug. Still picks up great. Also use this attachment on a hide rug.

- Answer Wonderful on bare floors and carpets. I bought it because you can clean drapes and air vents up high. Also because of the short beater so I can do stairs without lugging a huge vacuum or hose.

- Answer Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson V6 Absolute. The main difference between the two is battery life. While the battery can be removed and a spare battery can be purchased, it is not recommended to be removed unless necessary. The charger voltage ranges from 110-240v. - Answer Instructions state to run the filter through cold water at least once a month! It’s the red cylindrical item inside of the chamber where your debris is stored before dumping!

- Answer The actual charger is very compact, so yes using it to charge on the counter would be easy. There is a plastic piece that can be mounted on the wall so that you can hang and charge the vacuum while stored. This plastic piece does not need to be used, but is convenient for people who have a broom closet that would accommodate it.

- Answer 2 floor cleaning tools, one with soft cloth and one with rotating brush, crevice tool, multi tool, good for small jobs and a soft brush good for small jobs.
