QuestionI bought the Dyson v8 animal extra but my main purpose of buying it was for hardwood floor only but it does not have a hardwood floor cleaner tool. Can we buy a separate tool for hardwood cleaner and it can fit into the v8 animal extra

- Answer Hello Harp, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V8 Animal can be used on carpeting, area rugs and bare floors. That being said, it does have a spinning brush bar that cannot be disabled. There is a soft roller cleaner head available for purchase separately, which was engineered specifically for hard flooring. - Answer It probably means that it doesn't use a traditional filter. It collects the contents in a bin that you empty. It is really easy.

- Answer Hello Sam, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8 Animal will have two filters; one that sits inside of the cyclone, and the HEPA filter on the back of the motor. You will want to wash these once a month. With regular maintenance and care, you shouldn't ever have to replace them. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

QuestionHello two weeks ago I purchased the V8 Pro animal cordless. It is very very squeaky and it blows so much air out of the vents it blows the newspaper and mail of my table. Is this normal??? Thank you

- Answer Ours does too. (You would think with all that force it would have better suction.) Well did, after two uses ours no longer holds a charge at all. Personally extremely disappointed in this product.

QuestionI used my friend's and liked it, but do you need to hold (depress) the power switch the entire time? Or, is there a way to simply switch it to on? I'm afraid my aging parents would have trouble depressing the button the whole time it's in use. Thanks!
