A:AnswerSoft roller is good for hardwood floors. But v8 animal does not come with it but only with the regular head. So I’m not sure whether you have v8 animal or v8 absolute.

The handheld detached from the stick, the stick is also detachable from the beater on the floor. I think the stick is about 2.5-3ft long, it’s easy to switch attachments
